When talking about arm positions that use both arms we use a two digit code. When you do the dance of shiva the left digit (the first digit that you say when you say the position) refers to the position of the left arm and the second digit refers to the position of the right arm. So for example 1,2 would mean that the left arm is in position 1 but the right arm is in position 2.
However, when you look at these pictures imagine that I am mirroring you so despite the fact that my left arm is in position 1 and my right amm in position 2 I will label the picture 2, 1. All you have to do is mirror the picture of me and then the two digit code will be correct.
Horizontal Plane Arm Positions

Position 1,1 both arms in position 1.

Position 1,2, notice that my right arm is in position 1 and my left arm is in position 2.
However, if you mirror this image then your left arm will be in position 1 and your right arm will be in position 2. Then the coordinates (the 1,2) will be correct.

Position 1,3, my right arm is in position 1 and my left arm is in position 3

Position 1,4, my right arm is in position 1 and my left arm is in position 4. (I should also be smiling instead of grimacing:)
Now that's all of the positions with my right arm in position 1. Now I'll show you pictures of me with my right arm in position 2 while my left arm moves through positions 1 through to 4.
